Lace and embroidery wedding cake -part 1

This is a cake in progress that I'm really excited about. Most often, my inspiration for cake ideas come from textiles. Lace and embroidery in particular. The callenge is finding a way to emulate those textures closely enough to bring a design to life. Piped royal icing is a wonderful way to create lace. The fragility and delicacy of piped lace is mesmerising. Especially when it's a stand alone detail.
